Understanding billing cycle resets and rollover email credits when upgrading AutoSend plans

If we upgrade our AutoSend plan mid-month, does AutoSend prorate the remaining days of the current plan? Also, what happens to extra email add-on credits we purchased previously when upgrading?

Understanding AutoSend billing model helps avoid unexpected invoice surprises during plan changes.

How Plan Upgrades Work:

  • Non-Prorated Instant Renewal: AutoSend does not use prorated billing for plan upgrades. When you upgrade your plan, a new subscription cycle begins immediately on that day (Today), and your next billing renewal date will be exactly 1 month from the upgrade date.
  • Add-on Email Credits: Extra email credits purchased separately are treated as add-on balance. These credits carry forward across plan upgrades and never expire prematurely when changing base tiers.

Summary Table:

Action Billing Behavior Billing Date Reset
Base Plan Upgrade Immediate fresh 1-month charge (no prorating) Resets to exact 1 month from today
Add-on Credit Purchase One-time charge for extra credits Unchanged (credits carry forward)
