We need to handle multiple customer domains and keep contacts separate across staging and production. How do Projects work in AutoSend, and can we view email body content in Email Activity logs?

Workspace Architecture: Isolating Environments with Projects

AutoSend Projects provide isolated workspace environments under a single billing account.

1. What Projects Contain

Each Project operates as an independent container with its own:

  • Sending Domains (e.g. clientA.com, clientB.com, or staging.app.com)
  • Dedicated Contacts & Suppression Lists
  • Isolated API Keys & Webhooks
  • Independent Analytics & Activity Logs

This allows agencies, multi-brand SaaS platforms, or staging/prod setups to manage isolated environments without paying for separate subscriptions.

2. Email Activity & Content Privacy

In Email Activity, you can inspect real-time log events:

  • Delivery status (delivered, bounced, opened, clicked)
  • Subject line, recipient address, timestamp, and response headers.

Note on Email Body Content: For compliance and privacy (GDPR/HIPAA), full raw email bodies are stripped from persistent activity logs by default. Feature options for short-term payload debugging in sandbox environments are available in workspace settings.
